Today is SysAdmin Appreciation Day.  The holiday exists to show appreciation for the work of sysadmins and other IT workers.  It is celebrated on the last Friday in July.

Your computer is up and running, your network is secure, and your e-mail is flowing.  Why?  Because you’ve got an awesome sysadmin.

Unfortunately attempts to have Hallmark Cards recognize the holiday as a Hallmark Holiday have yet to be realized.  Many e-card websites already have special SysAdminDay cards available.  (Please do not send--or open--e-cards as has been discussed before.)
